Privacy policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

In short: your planner lives on your phone. We only hold an account if you create one, use it for AI help, invites and payments, don't show ads, and don't sell data. Photos and PDFs you send to the AI aren't stored. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

Who we are

Plannly ("we") makes the Plannly study app and this website. Questions about privacy: privacy@plannly.org.

What stays on your phone

Your exams, study plan, homework, timetable, attendance, flashcards, grades, focus sessions, streaks and profile (country, level, subjects and similar) are stored only on your device. They are not sent to us. Reminders are scheduled on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or Profile → Erase everything, removes them.

AI features

When you use an AI feature, what you send (your question, a photo, a PDF, notes or a topic name) goes with your level and chosen language to our server and then to Anthropic, which provides the Claude AI models, to produce the answer. We pass it on only to answer you.

Payments

In India, payments are handled by Razorpay; elsewhere, by Google Play. They process your card or UPI details; we never see them. We receive the order and payment IDs, amount and status.

Who else receives data

Only the services that run the app for us: our hosting providers (server and database), Anthropic (AI), and Razorpay or Google Play (payments). We don't sell personal data or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Children and students under 18

Plannly is made for students, including school students. You can use the planner without an account. To create an account, you must be old enough to agree to this policy in your country (13 in many countries, and in some countries 16 or 18); if you are younger, a parent or guardian must agree for you. Parents and guardians can ask us to delete a child's account at privacy@plannly.org.

Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, connections to our servers are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
